Meet Rhett Now

Rhett is a 6 year old gelding who consistently places in the 2D-3D at Texas barrel races. At smaller jackpots he has clocked in the 1D and has the potential to be there more often with the right jockey. He has a free running style and I prefer a push style horse so he’s not a great fit for me. Rhett has the most fun personality, and is incredibly sweet and playful. He would be perfect for a handy high school girl or college girl on a budget. Wouldn’t recommend for a total beginner or timid rider as he does have a big personality and is more forward than lazy. Rhett is very broke and is fun to ride. My husband has dayworked on him, he has tracked a dummy and been ridden working pens at the sale barn. He is easy to work on the pattern and will slow work as much as you’d like, but doesn’t need to be drilled to do his job. Runs with or without exhibitions. He stands 15.3 h tall and has had minimal maintenance. Has a clean set of X Rays from this spring but PPEs are always welcome at buyers expense. Motivated to sell and open to offers, too many young ones coming up and looking to find him a home with the right person who fits his style!
